A silly little card with a big message

I made this card for a friend of a friend who is fighting her battle with cancer.  I haven't met her but I understand the struggle she is going through.  My thoughts and prayers are with you.  Susan

Happy Easter greetings.

Some of my classes or utube tutorials on Watercoloring

I love this lady.. Billy Showell check her out on utube.. she paints amazing vegies and fruits.  I'm working on the covering over that orange berry.. we'll see how it goes..

My husband Bob took this as a photo.. I stole it and made it a watercolor.. I won't show you the photo.. no fair comparing  :)

I love this but its totally CASED  so do not tell !! It was a picture on a calendar by Robert Duncan.. he is much much better but I tried.

This is my favorite I guess.. usually I pick them apart and find fault but this was a first for me to do the water and the duck and the reflection and .. and..  but I was pleased.  I gave it to my husband for Valentines Day.. he loved it..

This little guy is very small.  I put the watch up so you could tell but it's still not clear how small it is.. it's only 2.5 by 3.5   Very fun to do something so tiny.

Well thank you for stopping by and checking out my blog.
If I get my pictures back from retreat I'll share them soon.  We had a fun and "Refreshing" time

My first hop! Papertrey March Blog Hop Challenge

I'm learning to HOP  How fun is that.  This little girl is a favorite of mine from I think Stampin'Up.   I learned to do this embroidery from a sweet little lady a few years ago.  It's called Brazilian Embroidery.  I love the image and the paper.  I only have a few items from Papertrey Ink  but I'm ready to own more  :)   Just a hint Patti...I have just started blogging and papercrafting again after many years so I'll get caught up with the newest products and styles soon.  Thanks for visiting and seeing my little dress up girl.
Here is PTI inspiration for the Hop.
Blog hop inspiration 5

Here is one of my embroidery pieces.  I taught my sister .. who lives in another state.. by video.  That was a story.  Then she taught another sister who came to visit.  Now we all three have this little piece.  Patti and Beverly have gone on to create many more.. However my style is to conquer the technique and then never do more.. so sorry to say I only have one or two pieces.  But it was very very fun.

Heres the chick where is the dinosaur

I'm learning you can't have two pictures in one post title or you can't put them both in the challenge  :)   Anyway... here is the chick .. such a sweet little guy from Stampin Up .. I'm sending him off to Send a Smile 4 Kids.

Heat embossing challenge

I love the colors of spring in this PTI confetti paper.  The challenge was a great one.  What a nice way of piecing together a couple of techniques.  The image is from Stampin Up and I have to say I'm loving it.  Thanks for stopping by.

To Resist or not to Resist..

This little sweetie is from Papertrey Ink and she is dancing up a storm.  The resist challenge is a fun "challenge" check out their video  Ink blending over heat embossing.

Chicks and Dinosaurs wishing you a Happy Birthday

A fun "Boys" only card challenge form Send A Smile 4 Kids has me thinking about how my little Grandson is now 13 years old.. not so little any more.  I just remember and love the memories of the dinosaur and chick young birthdays and holidays.  Now he's into hum..  long boards and Xbox's.  How time flies.

Here she is ta da..
Next adventure is I'm leaving soon for our annual ladies retreat.  Yea!  The name is "Refresh" and I'm hoping for lots of refreshment.. not necessarily cake.. but if it comes my way   :)
I'm happy to go but will be happy to return and get back to my paper crafting.  Thanks for checking in.

Hey Girlfriend

Who doesn't love dress up and SHOES?  You can never have too many shoes !  I hope this card will bring a very Happy Birthday to one of the teens receiving cards through Send A smile 4 kids.  I have two teen Granddaughters myself and dresses and shoes are highly sought after items. It works out nicely for me because often they call up asking if they can "earn" some money by cleaning out my pantry.. a win win I figure.  I will place this card in both Springcolors4kids and  Seize the Birthday challenges.  I hope it brings a smile along the way.

Freshly Made Sketches Challenge

These little Butterflies just flittered into my craft studio and jumped right on my card.  This was a fun style.. not my usual so it stretched me not to add and add layers and layers.. but I made it with only a bit of a bump up on the butterflies themselves.  I entered it in the Freshly Made Sketches Challenge. The patterned paper is from PTI and the butterflies are from Sizzx by way of Stampin' Up  Thanks for visiting and have a great Monday

Out of this world Birthday card

I made this card with the Seize the Birthday challenge in mind.  I sometimes feel a bit out of this world so it worked  for me.  I used the stamp set "Out of this world" by Papertrey ink and masked off the moon and stars then spritzed the sky with S/U's Stampin' Spritzer.  It was fun and challenging.  Thanks for the sketch idea.

House Mouse gets a bath..

I will send this cute card off to Smile4Kids.. I think of someone saying "Time for your sponge bath" then coming in with this toothbrush.. It makes me smile so hopefully it will bring a smile to someone in the hospital.

I hope your having a great day.  Susan

Jammin'

Well I think I might have at least a small handle now on how this blogging works.  I finally got the hang of putting on the picture and then couldn't figure out how to add text but now I'm practically a blogger  :)    I have been having fun reconnecting with my sister Patti from Stationerystyles she is a "Real Blogger"
A little about this card.  I was inspired to join the challenge by A Smile 4 kids using spring colors on kid cards.  I love this little drummer by Mo's Digital Pencil so it made a great match up.  I colored the design with both Prisma and Stampin up colored pencils.  My sweet sister came up with this great banner with my signature so I can look famous.  Thanks for checking my blog as I learn the ropes.
